Private events organized by Warrior’s Odyssey for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer. We provide a safe and sterile environment with fun entertainment and snacks, all free of charge. Families are given an opportunity to do “normal” activities like play, laugh, socialize and bond through these fun events.

EVENTS FROM 2015

Tilles Center’s Free Family Fun Series is doing it again in

Warrior’s Odyssey and Tilles Center for the Performing Arts are working together to support children and their families impacted by pediatric illnesses. This collaboration will help foster family fun and to build childhood memories in a safe environment closed to the general public.

As an extension of Tilles Center’s Family Fun series, we will be offering several shows throughout the year for children and their families impacted by pediatric illnesses. All performances are closed to the general public, and are free of charge.

Warrior’s Odyssey events at Tilles Center include:

February 8 2015 (Sunday at 5pm) - Sid the Science Kid on Sunday
March 29 (Sunday at 5pm - New York Philharmonic in Very Young People's Concerts
May 1 (Friday at 5pm)- The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley
May 16 (Saturday at 5pm) - Rapunzel on Saturday

  • Meet the Mets - Greet the Mets at Citifield on Saturday

    This event was a great success over the Memorial Day Weekend.  This event was in a public setting of course but we did an amazing job of closing off an area from the general public just for the kids and their families.  We were all seated together in one section and each ticket came with a hot dog, hamburger or pizza, plus fries and a drink.  We would like to thank our corporate sponsor - CSI -Centennial Security Integration.  Their website is www.csi-security.us.com

  • Merrick Kids Fest

    - April 27, 2013. 10am-8pm at Merrick Railroad Station
    The event will have rides for kids and we will have a table conducting a bone marrow registration drive.
  • Long Island All Kids Fair - 

    - April 28th, 2013 - 10 am-430 pm at Melville Marriott
    80 exhibitors and 24 classes with lots of fun things going on.  The All Kids Fair is pleased to announce that we will be teaming up with Penelope's Odyssey.  Adults can do a simple cheek swab at Penelope's Odyssey's booth and potentially save the life of someone who is fighting leukemia or another blood disorder.  70% of those needing a bone marrow transplant cannot have one because a suitable donor can't be found.  Join the national bone marrow registry and join the fight. more info

    Bricks 4 Kidz is a perfect activity for all age groups. Older children will be making  moveable   robotics. This is private and will include children with compromised immune  systems. Please help us make this a sniffle-free zone. Thank you!

  • Movie Screening of "Finding Nemo" on Sept 29, 2012

    This was a private screening of Finding Nemo at MovieLand Cinemas of Coram located at 1850 Route 112, Coram, NY.  The kids really enjoyed the movie in the sterile, sniff free theater.  Also thanks to our wonderful donations the kids enjoyed a snack pack with Popcorn, Candy and a drink.  This event was in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.  We thank MovieLand and our donors for such a grat event.
  • Pumpkin Patch with Otto the Ghost

    This event was located at At Clark Gardens at 193 I. U. Willets Rd, Albertson, New York.  Free Pumkins were provided to all the kids - donated by Hicks Nursery. There was also a visit from Otto the Ghost.  We thank Clark Gardens and Hicks Nursery and of course Otto the Ghost for such a wonderful event.

    "Jump Into the New Year" Event - Event was located at 32 Glen Cove Rd, Greenvale.  This was an amazing event.  The kids really had a great time with the mats, the balance beams, the Zip Line, the free Pizza and drinks.  The Little Gym and their employees were truly generous and caring.
  • Fun Bus & Artfull Experience on Feb. 10, 2013

    Located at the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center from 3pm -530pm on Sunday, Feb 10.
    Fun Bus is geared toward 3-7 yr olds although all families connected to Penelope’s Odyssey are welcome.  Crafts are for all ages.  This is private and will include children with compromised immune systems.  Please help us make this a sterile, sniffle-free zone. Bagels and Juice will be served.  RSVPS appreciated but not required.
